There are many places where you can enjoy food on a budget. Enjoying a meal in Dubai doesn’t have to just be for the big spenders. Below we have put together our favourite budget places that cost from £20 or less.

Ravi’s Restaurant

For what it lacks in charisma on the outside, this local gem in the neighbourhood of Satwa is known for serving up Pakistani and Indian street food. A perfect example of everyday Dubai, without the glitz and glamour. Please note, that they do not serve alcohol.

Tom & Serg

Enjoy some of the freshest coffee and tastiest brunch dishes at this cool, industrial hangout in Al Quoz. Forget the chain coffee shops, Tom & Serg is founded by Australians Tom Arnel & Serigio Lopez. Things here are done to a certain standard, it’s grown in popularity and has brought a new fan base to coffee culture in Dubai.

Bu Qtair Cafe

Situated right on the atmospheric Jumeirah Fishing Harbour, this popular seafood restaurant offers incredible flavours and spicy fish and shrimp that will make you forget they don’t even serve alcohol.

Calicut Paragon

Enjoy award winning South Indian cuisine at Calicut Paragon. This restaurant boasts a varied menu including vegetarian dishes. It is budget friendly and offers great food portions. Don’t hesitate to ask for recommendations from the friendly staff.

If you’re feeling a little flash not very flush then we have places for you. Below we’ve picked our favourite restaurants where you can enjoy fine dining with fine prices, all available at £40 per person or less.

Reem Al Bawadi

This modern and relaxed Middle Easten chain has three locations across Dubai including Downtown, Jumeirah Beach and the Dubai Marina. Enjoy meze food and order a variety of dishes to share, we recommend the Labneh, Moussaka and Chicken Liver. Reem Al Bawadi won the most affordable dining category for the What’s On Dubai Awards for both 2014 and 2015, so you know it won’t break the bank.

Manga Sushi

Combine sushi with anime and manga at this Japanese restaurant in the Beach Park Plaza Centre. The restaurant features a collection of contemporary artwork and a monochrome interior unlike anywhere else you’ll find in Dubai. Watch the action unfold at the sushi bar and enjoy a variety of sushi platters including Nigiri and Sashimi dishes.

Bussola

If you’re after authentic Italian food then look no further than Bussola. This upper deck pizzeria in the Westin Mina Seyahi Beach Resort and Marina offers an incredible backdrop which is worth every penny. Enjoy traditional stone baked pizza and antipasti. There’s also a lounge bar for cocktails and the opportunity to indulge in a fine dining experience.

Prime 68

Enjoy an award winning fine dining experience on the 68th floor of the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel. This high-end steakhouse boasts breathtaking views of the Dubai skyline and premium artisan produce. Expect prime Ribeye and Japanese Striploin. If you’re after affordable luxury why not make use of their daily early bird offer? (three courses from 6-7pm).

Thiptara

Enjoy authentic Thai cuisine at this charming restaurant that overlooks the Dubai Fountain and Burj Lake. You’ll be spoilt for choice, with an array of aromatic curries, noodles, stir fries and seafood to choose from.

Rang Mahal

Enjoy Michelin star quality at the Rang Mahal with chef Atul Kochhar presenting an exciting menu of modern Indian dishes. Located on the fourth floor of the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel you just simply have to try the Chana Gosht and Lobster Malai Curry.

Stay By Yannick Alleno

If you want luxury with no bounds then get yourself to Stay. Here you will enjoy a French dining experience hosted by Yannick Alleno a three times Michelin starred chef.
